Project Overview

Birkenstock reached out directly to us based on our previous work to create a display commemorating the achievements of their top retail partners. With sales in approximately 90 countries worldwide and a nearly 250 year history, we were honored to create a countertop unit for one of the world’s most iconic names in footwear. Crucially, the design needed to incorporate their patented rubber sole and reflect their brand’s commitment to sustainable attire and eco-friendly production.

Project Goals

Displays that make impressions, not emissions

The designs and their packaging needed to be environmentally conscious, cost-effective, and accurately convey the attention to detail and quality that characterize the Birkenstock brand.

The final result

We created a countertop unit using mixed materials, a rubber base which aesthetically mirrors Birkenstock’s footwear line, and designed custom, hand-packaged boxes with applied graphics.
We produced the initial run of 400 within 16 working days and the displays were shipped to retail locations throughout the country within 30 days of the original project proposal.
Through our value-engineering efforts, we reduced costs by 18% and made the CTU much more durable, leading to a 28% increase in US sales.
