Bowlero Corporation, the largest bowling center operator in the world with over 300 locations, asked us to produce bar rails and table tops for them. They wanted to solve a variety of quality issues they were experiencing from other suppliers, as well as incorporate mixed materials, wood, and metal to renovate these pieces and create a more striking and aesthetically refined environment.
Bowlero’s previous table tops were unwieldy and heavy, and mechanical failings in the existing hinges posed both a hassle and a safety issue to staff and customers. We aimed to deliver a solution that elevated the functionality and design of our clients’ bowling centers.
By engineering a better hinge and bar system, we were able to make the bar rails and table tops lighter, more durable, and easier to assemble. The older versions required two people to raise and lower, while the new design required only one. The reworked models could also be installed by on-site staff, eliminating the need for outside labor.
Powder-coated metal and glossy pine wood finishing provided all 148 locations in the project’s scope with a fresh and functional update.
